染工房正茂

染工房正茂では、江戸時代（17世紀後半）から受け継いできた、着物を染める技術「手描友禅」を使ったアイテムを制作、販売しています。この道30年以上の職人がデザインから仕上げまでを一人で制作しています。長年培ってきた日本人の「絵画を纏う」という感性を大切に、制作するアイテムに「絵画を纏う」「絵画を携える」という気持ちを込めて制作。素材も絹の他に、綿、リネン、革といった様々なものを使い、手描友禅の可能性を模索しています。

At Somekobo Masashige, we create and sell items using hand-painted yuzen, a kimono dyeing technique passed down since the Edo period.

Each piece is crafted by a single artisan with over 30 years of experience, cherishing the Japanese spirit of “wearing art.”

Beyond silk, we explore new expressions of yuzen on cotton, linen, and leather.
